Howie Castle

January 1972

Howie came to the Big 15 from Radio Caroline off the coast of the UK. http://www.offshoreradio.co.uk/djsb.htm  This link has a very nice story of Howie (who used Bud Ballou on Caroline) as well as an aircheck from 1967. What the story dosen't mention is Howie was program director of the very successful 94 Rock (WSYR-FM) until he left Syracuse in 1981. He is currently the weekend news anchor on KOGO San Diego, California.

Ron BeeClick Here for Ron Bee

June 1973

Jocking on WOLF? Yep, apparently a fill in one late evening June 17, 1973 for Jay Walker. Ron went on to several positions. One at WRRB and WKFM before returning to join his friend Rick Gary on WSYR for a short while. But because of WSYR's conservative listeners that was short lived and Ron moved on to WSEN and WEZG for a number of years.
Ron Bee was the very successful morning man on B104.7. Another gem from the collection of Lee Goodman.
