Jay
Walker
1973 - 1975
Joe Maston
originally from Massena, known as Jay Walker who was with the
station 1970 (aprox) until he left for WHEN some time in 1976.
A very funny and entertaining fellow who was known for his
twisting of the artist's names. Example; Len Skynyrd, Chuck
Daniels or Al Hammond.

Ron
Bee
June 1973
Jocking on WOLF? Yep, apparently a fill in one late evening June
17, 1973 for Jay Walker. Ron went on to several positions. One at
WRRB and WKFM before returning to join his friend Rick Gary on WSYR
for a short while. But because of WSYR's conservative listeners that
was short lived and Ron moved on to WSEN and WEZG for a number of
years. Ron Bee was the very successful morning man on
B104.7. Another gem from the collection of Lee
Goodman.

Director. Eventually Florida became his home where he started Jeff
Laurence Productions, one of the finest production house's in the
country. His Autumn Hill studios are now located in the beautiful

Pete McKay
January 1974
Pete is also a member of the WOLF two timers club
having been at the station on three separate occasions. The first
time as a student of Syracuse University on the part-time staff as
Ron White. And the second in the summer of 1973. In the early 70's,
part timers were given names that had already been sung in the
jingle package. Ron White was the program director of WOLF's sister
station WGRD in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pete went on to WHEN and
later to a teaching career. He landed for a third time at Big WOLF
Country in 1982 and stayed on when Craig Fox, the current owner
bought the station, as a jock on the oldies format which was short
lived. Pete spent some years in cable and broadcast
television and recently retired as an engineer at
WCNY-FM.
